Technology. Operate and manage the web
site, computer
lab, videoconference,
multimedia, and communications for the Gallup Graduate Studies
Center. Taught distance education with videoconferencing or travel
to Douglas and Window Rock Arizona, and New Mexico towns: Alamo, Magdalena, Deming,
Gallup, Silver City. Most of my students are teachers serving
language minority students with Spanish, Zuni, or Navajo background.
1987-92
Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education in the College of Education, Texas Tech University.
Graduate and undergraduate courses in Bilingual Education, ESL,
and Multicultural Education. Also taught ESL graduate courses
through Continuing Education most semesters travelling to various
rural locations. Most of the students are teachers with Spanish
speaking pupils.

Acquisition and ESL Curriculum and Materials Development, summer
1987 at Texas Tech University.
Instructor of graduate course in Navajo Bilingual Materials

Elementary School Teacher in grades K-5, English as
a Second Language to Hispanic Students, Albuquerque Public Schools
(Whittier
Elementary School) for 1985-86.
Elementary Classroom Teacher, 6th grade (Navajo Bilingual)
at Bureau of Indian Affairs school, Dzilth-Na-o-dith-hle
Community School, 1982-1985. Organized and introduced music
instruction and bilingual methods at the school. Helped organize
and implement a school computer education program, wrote agency
curriculum for music education, wrote agency policy letters for
bilingual education.
1966-77
Taught
Spanish to missionaries two summers, Provo, Utah. Taught
private and group music lessons regularly on guitar, trombone,
piano and other instruments.
TEACHING IN COMMUNITY SERVICE
1964 to Now
Boy Scouts, Sunday School and
other church assignments (English and Spanish) including a two
year full time proselyting mission to Central and South America
and a five year part time mission working with Hispanics in New
Mexico and Texas. Substitute or teacher for daily high school
scripture course 3 years. Weekly adult scripture class 2 years.
Simultaneous interpreter for church services (English to Spanish)
7 years, and for the deaf (oral to written) two years. Church
Choir director, 6 years. Weekly scripture class to youth 3 years.
