Sunfish When you fish for "bluegill" in Wichita, you may catch bluegill (small mouth, round body), green sunfish (large mouth, long body), or any number of colorful varieties, or hybrid crossbreeds. These sunfish have nests of 8,000 eggs that hatch in 5 days. Catch all you want. If you don't remove them, they become overcrowded and stunted in growth. Many people keep them to eat. In Wichita many people call them "perch". |
