When you find a piano, be sure to contact a technician to evaluate it before purchasing.  The prices are generally set on Craig's List so that moving and repairs and tuning can be added and still not be a large investment. Due to the large supply and low demand, the prices are generally very low, and the buyer pays extra for appraisal, moving, tuning, and repair.  I sell pianos for the value of the repairs only.  For comparison and setting values, here are ALL the listings in the Wichita Craig's list 15 September 2011 and 8 January 2014.  We cannot tell from these listings whether the pianos actually sold, or the selling price.
